How Medicare Exercise Physiology Works
If you have a health condition lasting six months or more, your GP can refer you to Exercise Physiology under a Chronic Condition Management Plan (CCMP).
It’s simple:
1️⃣ See your GP — Ask if you’re eligible for a referral.
2️⃣ Receive your referral letter — You’ll be eligible for Medicare rebates.
3️⃣ Book your first session — We’ll assess your movement, health history, and goals.
4️⃣ Start your tailored plan — Begin guided sessions that fit your lifestyle.
Quick facts:
Up to 5 subsidised allied health sessions per calendar year
Referral valid for 18 months
Rebates usually appear in your account within 24 hours of payment
We send a summary report to your GP after your first session to ensure continuity of care.
